When I was 9 years old, I received a drumset for Christmas. this started me on a lifelong love of music and performing arts that has shaped my life to this day. I joined Luther Burbank Center for the Arts Board over 12 years as means of paying it back to our local community.
The LBC is the North Bay’s premier arts and events center presenting world-class performances, nationally-recognized arts and education programs, contemporary visual art, and community events.
But the organization doesn’t stop there. Every year, we serve more than 50,000 children and adults through their Education Through the Arts programs. Most of the programs are offered at little to no cost, removing barriers to access and amplifying the impact of these transformative programs. I am very proud to be a member of the Board for this one-of-a-kind organization and to be supporting such a powerful impact in my community.
As we are gearing up for our annual fundraising gala, the Art of Dessert, together we can make a difference for the students we serve. I hope to reach our goal with help from you, our circle of friends, family, and colleagues. Would you please join me by making a meaningful donation of any amount to the cause?
PS - There are too many amazing programs to list here, so I encourage you to learn more about the incredible arts and education programs for school children, educators, and the wider community, online.
