Education in the arts exposes students to diverse perspectives, challenges preconceived ideas, fosters empathy and understanding, and builds community. As funding for the arts in education is more challeged than ever, it is more crucial than ever to support organizations that provide access to the arts in schools. We are so fortunate to be involved with a local organization that not only fosters arts in education, but does so in ways that reflect and celebrate the fabric of our community.
That’s why Amy and I are reaching our to friends, family, business associates, and others who share our values to ensure that we do everyting we can to support the Luther Burbank Center for the Arts.
As the one of the Bay Area’s preeminent arts and education leaders, the LBC is committed to doing its part to fulfill their bold vision to make the arts accessible for all.
The LBC is proudly ranked amongst the world’s top performing arts centers, every year presenting performances in music, theater, dance, comedy, family programming and renowned speaker events.
But the organization doesn’t stop there. Every year, the LBC serves more than 50,000 children and adults through their Education Through the Arts programs. Most of the programs are offered at little to no cost, removing barriers to access and amplifying the impact of these transformative programs. I am very proud to be a member of the Board for this one-of-a-kind organization and to be supporting such a powerful impact in my community.
As we are gearing up for our annual fundraising gala, the Art of Dessert, together we can make a difference for the students we serve. We hope to reach our goal with help from you. Would you please join us making a meaningful donation of any amount to the cause?
PS - There are too many amazing programs to list here, so I encourage you to learn more about the incredible arts and education programs for school children, educators, and the wider community, online.
